About Megan:
"Hi, I'm Megan. I am an attorney, a small business owner, and a mom.
I have an LL.M. (post-doctorate) in Tax Law from Loyola Law School.
I received my law degree from UC Davis Law School and completed my undergraduate with honors at UC Santa Barbara.
I have spent the majority of my career in the male dominated fields of business, law, and finance.
What I know for sure, is that there is nothing about running a business, understanding small business financials, and working with (or being) an attorney that requires you to be "good at math" or male.
If you think you’re “too bad at math to understand your business financials,” are destined to be a “starving artist,” or any other such nonsense, you’ve been tricked and lied to. It is my mission to help female entrepreneurs see and reach their full potential."
- Megan Robin, J.D., Tax LL.M.
Megan's beliefs:
Money is power.
It’s the power to leave a bad job/partner/situation. It’s the power to rest/heal/recover when you’re burned out. It’s the power to help, heal, create change, and have your voice heard.
Money is not “evil.”
Money is a tool. Think of it like a hammer. You can use a hammer to build a house for someone in need or to hit and hurt someone. It's your choice. The hammer is neutral. Money is neutral too. You can use money to do good in the world or to do evil. It’s my goal to get more money in the hands of kind, talented female entrepreneurs with big hearts and big dreams.
Business finance is not "too hard" for you to understand.
Every human being is inherently worthy.
There is power in kindness and self-love.
You will never berate yourself into a happy, wealthy life. Self-criticism, shame, and blame do not motivate or inspire change. Kindness, forgiveness, patience and love do.
